🚀 Supporting STEAM Learning: Preparing Young People for the Future with Tech Lancaster
Supporting SPARK Lancaster and STEAM Learning!
At Careers Ideas Ltd, we believe that education isn’t just about learning, it’s about nurturing the whole person. Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of delivering a floral workshop focused on wellbeing to military families at Weeton Barracks Camp, alongside my talented colleague Rebecca Steel, Director of the College for Military Veterans and Emergency Services. Rebecca and I are working together with Anna Bell, a Lecturer in Adult Nursing and former RAF Combat medic at the University of Lancashire on a research project aimed at supporting military spouses.
Watching participants engage with creativity, colour, and the simple act of arranging flowers was inspiring. The atmosphere was full of laughter, conversation, and moments of reflection, a reminder that small, mindful activities can have a big impact on mental health and wellbeing.
Workshops like these are a powerful example of how education extends beyond the classroom. They provide opportunities to explore new skills, express oneself, and connect with others in supportive environments. Seeing people leave with their own floral creations and smiles, reinforced why we are so passionate about combining learning with wellbeing initiatives.
We’re proud to contribute to experiences that empower individuals, spark joy, and highlight that education can truly be a pathway to wellbeing.
