Becoming a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) represents more than a professional milestone. For me it's a powerful affirmation of the journey I’ve taken across multiple sectors, and the impact I strive to make through my work at Careers Ideas Ltd.

The CMI Fellowship recognises sustained strategic leadership and a commitment to professional development at the highest level. For me, it reflects decades of experience leading diverse teams and projects in the military, public, private, and voluntary sectors.

It is also a mark of integrity, resilience, and innovation - qualities I aim to model every day in my business, which supports employability and personal growth for individuals from all walks of life.

As Director of Careers Ideas Ltd, this Fellowship strengthens the credibility of the employability and education programmes we deliver, especially our latest initiative supporting military spouses transitioning to the UK from the Commonwealth. It demonstrates to partners and clients that our work is underpinned by leadership excellence, strategic thinking, and a strong ethical foundation.

Being a Chartered Fellow is also about giving back, championing better management practices, mentoring emerging leaders, and shaping inclusive workplaces. I’m proud to be part of a community that shares these values, and I look forward to continuing to support others in unlocking their potential.
