Careers Ideas were recently joined by Dom, who is a current serving soldier with the British Army.
Dom approached us to ask if he could spend the week shadowing Deborah as part of his Civil Work Attachment, a valuable benefit to exiting personnel.
'I was delighted to have Dom join us and bring fresh insight into new ways of working' says Deborah. We had a packed week of events which aligned beautifully to Dom's career goals in Project Management.
The students loved the added bonus of being able to learn about work ethic, trust and teamwork in the British Army which Dom demonstrated beautifully. Interestingly, they were all in favour of the Government developing an initiative not dissimilar to National Service! Insightful indeed!

For some time, I've been pondering on setting up a podcast, to support service personnel transition successfully to civvy street. As Bronze holders of the Employer Recognition Scheme, I wanted Careers Ideas Ltd to do something more than what we do already to support transitioning service members and their families.
